Typical target fish: Horse mackerel | [34/THIRTY FOUR] (Iebe color) “Even when stopped, it moves and appeals visually”. Originally, it was modeled after a bamboo snake whistle. It is a toy with joints that moves in a swaying motion, and I made it with that image in mind. The aim is not to create vibrations or anything like that, but to create a visual effect. By adding joints, the intention was that the parts would move well like joints. When I actually looked at the worm in the water, it moved slightly even though it was stopped, receiving the water current. Horse mackerel are fish with large eyes, so the idea is that if you place it in a clump of plankton, it will find it. The aim is not to “move” it, but to “move even when stopped”. If you move it, it will jump out of the clump of plankton. I came up with the idea that if it could move with the water current without moving, its existence would become clear.
